Q1 Synth (2023)
The Q1 Synth is a quantum-inspired synthesiser that allows musicians to interface with real quantum hardware whilst performing and composing. It is a hybrid instrument that combines the intrigue and pure randomness of quantum computing with the expressivity of a traditional synthesiser.
The Q1 Synth was first devised by Eduardo Miranda and designed and built by Cephas Teom at the ICCMR, University of Plymouth. It is now being developed as a product by Moth Quantum - a quantum technology company that harnesses the power of quantum computing to unlock new creative possibilities in music, art, gaming.
